Goorrarndal is the Kija word for brolga.

These earrings were designed by Kija artist Rowena Morgan.

Brolgas are one of Rowena’s favourite birds, often seen dancing out on the flood plains of her Country.

Pearl grey acrylic with handpainted charcoal details and green mirror jila (waterhole) with a black organic circle top and stainless steel post

Approx. 10cm in length including top circle.

 

Nagula Jarndu (Saltwater Woman) is a not-for-profit 100% Aboriginal owned and managed art centre with a focus on contemporary hand printed textiles.

The earring designs have come from those textile prints.

The earrings are laser cut acrylics that are hand painted with stainless steel findings.
